We know that IT is a major qualification for job market in Sri Lanka.It was learnt that demand for IT skilled persons are very high and yearly Sri Lanka produced 5000.
Therefore we took firm decision to send one of student to SLIIT with the help from German Donor.Vindya already started her IT Degree from this December.This is four year Degree comprised with eight semesters. All the expenses will be sponsored by Donor. Our next target is to send other two students to SLIIT to follow IT Diploma .It is 12 month course. We kindly requests to Donors who can help these rural kids to make bright future toward IT industry. Pleas contact

Vindya one of our student has passed A/L this year. She is eligible for university.But
One of our donor Mr.Gerd Gilles expressed his willingness to send Vindya to Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology to follow a Degree Bsc (Hons) in IT.This Degree is a four years one and consist eight semesters.Total cost for Degree and the other expenditures will be born by Mr.Gerd.We are very proud about this grate achievement and highly appreciated Mr.Gerd.This is our biggest achievement since 2009. Nihiluwa evillage started its work on year 2007.Promoting IT and the English are prominent objectives of our project.Evillage project was initiated and facilitated by Secondary Education Modernization Project of the Ministry of Education.Nihiluwa Public school has earned a name for IT field during past two years.This was a very first one to publish a web site in Tangalle Education Zone.Not only that we were the first school to use web blog writing and use of web 2.0 concept.

On 14 September we were on a very important mission. Evillage students got a chance to visit Presidents House known as Temple Trees. We could see all important places in Temple Trees and last minute; fortunately H.E.Mahinda Rajapaksha president of Sri Lanka arrived. We were very happy and H.E.Presidant talked with us and we convinced him about our Evillage programme.Then He promised us to provide Nanasala computer lab.This visit was sponsord by one of our grate Donors Mr Gerd .

This is one of our successful stories of a student who proved his dedication and the enthusiasm for his well-lined future. Krishan Chathuranga De Silva young, skilled, dedicated and disciplined student of Ruhunulanka Foundation now in Colombo for further training as a Animator, Graphic Designer and Video editor.
He starts to learn computer from Nihiluwa School and later joined with Evillage programme.At the first stage he was proved his dedication for this programme and within the short period, he won a PC from a Donor who is living in Canada .Krishan named as a best Blogger in Ruhunulanka Foundation. He always actively involved with Evillage programme.. Now He wants a laptop (used) for this training and He has to bear his expenses in Colombo. We strictly believed that He will firmly on his target. Therefore we would like to welcome Donors those who can give a help for this student to achieve his targets. His Blog-

New computer lab begind to operate |

With the objective of providing an opportunity for school childrans,school leavers,and the general public in Nihiluwa,to enhance their knowledge on the ICT We as a best rural computer facilitator starts new computer lab with five computers ,a printer,a scanner and the fast internet connection. This lab was given by the East West Information system as a Donation. Internet connection was given by the one of our Donor from Germany Mr,Gerd Gilles.
This new unit was established in the Nihiluwa Temple premises as a temporary base. Within One year we have to find or build a place to shift this lab. It is the need of the hour to focus more on ICT field. There for our committee intend to starts classes for villagers and the school leavers. Decision also has been taken to provide Internet facility for less charge. This will help villagers to find information through internet.
Donors and well-wishers can donate used computers to expand our duties and funds to construct a new room for us.
